House of Culture is one of the most important architectural heritage buildings in Helsinki. When ASM Global took over as operator we undertook upgrades to create functional event spaces while respecting the building's protected status. The highlight was the transformation of Alppisali, a basement cinema screen which has been vacant for 30 years, into a 300-person DJ and live music venue called Kult Club. Other updates included modernising the restaurant and lobby halls.
