JBC Projects shaped the commercial strategy for the redevelopment, working closely with the venue’s finance team to define a viable investment approach and negotiate the development funding agreement with the landlord. With the commercial framework secured, we led the full design process from inception through completion, ensuring the scheme aligned with operational needs, budget expectations and long‑term venue ambitions.
During construction, JBC Projects oversaw and directed the external project management team, maintaining control of programme, quality and stakeholder coordination.
The increase in capacity was driven by the removal of a number of surplus staircases throughout the venue to introduce new seats instead. This posed a challenge from a ticketing perspective as the ticket manifest needed to be coordinated with the construction programme, to ensure there was continuity for the existing ticket holders. Identifying this at the outset of the project led to a successful delivery.
